time to blog again....

Hello family and friends! It is time to start blogging again....this time we will be better at it!!! Especially since we are getting ready to move (not until the end of summer though). We are in the process of getting ready to help plant a church in Hilo, Hawaii. We will post more on that soon : )
JANUARY- was COLD!! The kids had a blast with the ice storm we had....
FEBRUARY has been a month of celebrating! I turned 30 (yikes!!) and DiRon got another year older too;) he is now 41. Oh and throw Valentines in the mix too....it's been busy.
I finally got my nose pierced!!! Yay, I've been wanting this for a LONG time. Thank you Leah and Kari!! I also had a surprise party at Chevy's thanks to DiRon (with the help of friends and family...who kept the secret!). I was spoiled this year for sure. Not to mention my family went on a birthday trip to Mount Rainier with me, complete with chili, mom's scones, and yogurt parfait for desert....yum!!
Look at all that smoke! DiRon and I went on a double date with my parents for his birthday...our date didn't go exactly as planned but we still had fun. While we were out Kait and the kidos decorated the house and made a birthday cake for DiRon. They did an awesome job!
More to come soon. Love you all!!

~Our Blackeyed Sweetpea~

This is what happens when little monkeys jump on the bed!!!
One of her friends landed on top of her head with his head :(

Suprisingly she says it doesn't hurt . . . after the initial dramatic cries that is!
After all its just another head wound . . .
. . . Here there are several of those a week.
This however is our sweetpea's FIRST blackeye!!!
Something tells us it might not be the last!

Time to recap...part 2

Thank goodness birthdays only come once a year! The munchkins and Hailee do have a way of making it fun. Hailee made cupcakes and my favorite meal, Chicken Giardino, since we can't get it from Olive Garden anymore, while the kids each picked out a present for me. Hilton, being the true boy he is, picked out Transformers, while the sweet Keala made me a card with a coupon for one big hug, best hug ever!! Hailee's family and my parents came by to share the cupcakes and have a lot of fun. Now it's time to get nervous about what Hailee has planned for next years big 4-0.

Time to recap...

It's been way too long since we have posted anything. So over the next week our plan is to go back and RECAP for you all! Hopefully by then we will be use to posting and won't have to play catch up....TIME WILL TELL!! Our journey will start back in February...

Hailee's 28th birthday... My family came with us up to Mount Rainer. Katie made some yummy chili and mom made her famous Utah scones, oh and Ash made me a delicious German chocolate cake. (yup, I was spoiled this year) I even got the best birthday ride EVER on my tube...I went up and over the side and kept on going...I thought I was going to pee my pants, but rest assured I DIDN'T!!! Thanks for celebrating and enduring the cold snow with me fam. I had a blast:)

Thanks again!!! And to think I was dreading turning 28...

New Years Eve

Movie theater night, Keala's favorite!!
Thanks for the big bucks , Great Grandpa and Grandma

Which one of these two is more dangerous?

New Years Eve was lots of fun with our little night owls. We started off with Zoolights at Point Defiance Park, a fun combination of lots of animals and lots of lights. Hilton really enjoyed the shark tank, while Keala was a big fan of the meerkats and Hailee couldn't get enough of the cockroaches (just kidding!!). The lights were amazing, beautiful trees and bushes, moving animals and local scenery like Mt. Rainier and the Narrows Bridge. Of course, we had to ride the carousel for Keala. After the zoo, we met Bampa and Auntie Katie at delBrocco's where Auntie Cori works and enjoyed some great pizza. Then we went to Auntie Ashlee and Uncle Jerrod's house for games and fun. Finally, we had to convince the kiddos to go to sleep at about one in the morning.

Merry Christmas everyone! We have had way too much fun preparing for the holidays, the little people are really starting to understand Christmas, both the fun Santa and snowman stuff as well as the birth of Jesus. Hilton and Keala both really got into the fun holiday baking, making the gingerbread house and cookies. Keala's job on the cookies was the flour and there was plenty of flour to go around. They both ate as many of the decorations as the put on, leading to a sugar high frenzy! Keala decided to name two of her cookies for her Papa and Aunt Ellen, they were very happy and honored. Life is so much fun with the kids so excited, we can't wait to share the fun of the season. We all hope your season is filled with the joy and wonder that only Christ can bring.
